Back on Track

It is inevitable, no matter how much you want to achieve your goals, break a bad habit or create a new good habit your train gets derailed. I have been writing this blog for almost ten years now and life always happens and consistent content has never happened. I have a list of things that I need to accomplish to achieve my goals but I also have a full time job and family responsibilities.

So when my son got a job on Monday I needed to put down my pen, go to the store to get him pants and shoes for work.

When my daughter has an appointment or has behavior issues I need to put down my pen to take care of that.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not complaining at all. My first ever goal in life was to be a great wife and mother. While no one is perfect, I believe I am doing my best in both roles and strive to do better each day.

Consistent content needs to take a back seat to my family and responsibilities. One of my New Years Resolutions was to get up early to create content. It is now 4:49 am. Again, I am not perfect. It's April so its taken four months to even get out of bed before 5:30. On the first, I couldn't get back to sleep after a trip to the bathroom so I was up before my alarm. On the second, I slept through my alarms and didn't get up until 5:30. Today, I slept through my first alarm but woke up before my second alarm. I need to get out of bed to turn my alarm off so I figured that would be a helping hand. So many times in the last four months I've turned off the alarm and gone back to bed. I have made extra sleep a bigger priority than this big dream. No more.

I have provided content for three straight days now but I am not going to blog daily. Now that I am making this morning thing a priority I will need to make a schedule for all the activities that A Woman of Strength will require.
